Truck-VS-Train MVA June 16th, 2005
On June 16th, 2005 at 1:34 P.M. a northbound Norfolk Southern Freight Train struck an 18 wheeler that was attempting to cross the tracks at Alabama Ave and 19th Street. The driver of the 18 wheeler was injured and transported by Air-Evac to UAB hospital. Responding agencies included Haleyville Fire/Rescue, Haleyville Police, Regional Paramedical Services, Air-Evac Lifeteam,Norfolk Southern Railway Officials, Winston County Emergency Management and Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
