Structure & Car Fire March 28th, 2005
Haleyville Fire/Rescue responded to this Single Wide Manufactured home and vehicle fire on the early afternoon of March 28th, 2005. Upon arrival the home was fully involved with heavy fire extending to the front of the vehicle. Responding Apparatus included Pumpers 1,2,Tanker 6, Rescue 1. The resident's dog, a Boxer/Pit Bull mix attacked the journalist from the newspaper causing a severe laceration to her arm which required treatment at Lakeland Community Hospital. Unfortunately, the dog could not be captured peacefully and had to be destroyed by authorities from Animal Control and the Haleyville Police Department.
