House Fire July 28th, 2005
Haleyville and Bear Creek Fire Departments responded to this house fire located at the intersection of Alabama Ave and 17th Street around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday July 28th, 2005. Upon arrival firefighters were faced with heavy fire conditions with the first in interior attack team facing a flash over condition. It took firefighters about 3 hours to bring the blaze under control. The house received major damage with the contents being a total loss. 1 firefighter was transported by RPS ambulance to Lakeland Community Hospital for Heat Exhaustion. Responding Apparatus included Pumper 2, Ladder 1, Rescue 1,Bear Creek 792 and RPS Medic 206.
